‘Tis the season for hot cocoa (with extra mallows), snuggles, and holiday movies. With the chilly weather rolling in, what better way to spend an evening indoors than with your special someone—or alone because you’re independent AF—watching classic holiday movies! We have compiled a list of our favorite holiday movies for the 25 days of Christmas! If you don’t have plans one evening, check out our list, and put a movie on!

Dec. 1st – The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

This is a perfect movie to transition from fall to winter.

Dec. 2nd Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005)

The visuals of this movie are absolutely insane.

Dec. 3rd Just Friends (2005)

Ryan Reynolds. That’s all we have to say.

Dec. 4th – Dr. Suess’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)

Did you know that Taylor Momsen (Cindy Lou Who) is now in a rock band called The Pretty Reckless? She’s actually a total badass now.

Dec. 5th – Four Christmases (2008)

Vince Vaughn is hilarious in every single movie he’s been in. Be ready for some serious laughs.

Dec. 6th – Jack Frost (1998)

This may be one of, if not THE most underrated holiday movie out there. An absolute tear jerker.

Dec. 7thNational Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (1989)

If you haven’t jumped on the National Lampoon train then you are severely missing out. Actually, have yourself a weekend and binge the movie series.

Dec. 8thPolar Express (2004)

This film is visually breathtaking and a lovely homage to the original book.

Dec. 9thMiracle on 34th Street (1994)

My mom made me watch this when I was younger and I am very glad she did because it is actually a pretty awesome holiday movie.

Dec. 10thWhy Him? (2016)

James Franco is FOR SURE on our list of top people to meet. This movie is hilarious, slightly dirty and James Franco. James Franco, James Franco, James Franco.

Dec. 11th The Best Man Holiday (2013)

A phenomenal movie with humor, scandal, and straight tears.

Dec. 12thHome Alone Movies (1990, 1992, 1993)

We will just lump all three of the Home Alone movies into one day because let’s be serious, once you watch one, you’ll want to watch them all.

Dec. 13thEight Crazy Nights (2002)

Can I say underrated?! I did not see this movie on any “Top Christmas Movie” lists which is quite disappointing. For an animated movie, I certainly did LOL.

Dec. 14thThe Santa Clause (1994)

Overall classic family flick starring our personal childhood favorite, Tim Allen from “Home Improvement.”

Dec. 15thGremlins (1984)

Not sure why this is considered a holiday movie, uh, but it is… and it’s awesome.

Dec. 16thLove Actually (2003)

Classic romantic flick which will really get the snuggles going.

Dec. 17thBad Santa (2003)

Let’s be honest, if you’re not watching this movie this holiday, you’re doing something very wrong.

Dec. 18thLast Holiday (2006)

We’ll say it once again, UNDERRATED. Queen Latifah is a total queen in this flick and LL Cool J is his typical sexy self, so….watch it!

Dec. 19thNoel (2004)

This movie is on Netflix and TBH the plot is a little jumbled, but overall we’ve rated it a pretty decent movie—with a fantastic cast featuring Susan Sarandon, Paul Walker, and Penelope Cruz.

Dec. 20thA Christmas Story (1983)

Everyone always watches this movie on Christmas Day but let’s mix it up a bit and watch it a little earlier this year! Classic and funny.

Dec. 21stThe Holiday (2006)

Absolutely amazing movie. Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz totally shine as hopeless romantics in this story. Ladies, grab some wine and cry with them! Jack Black adds a little pinch of funny bone to the film, and we do love seeing him in a more serious role!

Dec. 22ndChristmas with the Kranks (2004)

Jamie Lee Curtis will always be a fan favorite. This film provides some laughs and tears—typical holiday movie.

Dec. 23rdDie Hard (1998)

Considering this is on every single list of top movies to watch this holiday, we had to throw this one on there. This action-packed adventure will really get your blood flowing!

Dec. 24th The Family Stone (2005)

Okay, everyone—this might just be one of the best holiday movies ever. It has funnies, tears, and a terrific cast! Please, please, please watch. You won’t regret it.

Christmas DayElf (2003)

Instead of watching A Christmas Story on Christmas Day how about we mix it up and watch Elf on Christmas?! We haven’t met a single person who doesn’t like this movie (and if you’re a person who doesn’t, we don’t wanna know—blasphemy). Will Ferrell kills it in his role of Buddy the Elf, and the entire family will enjoy this film on Christmas Day.

We hope everyone enjoys their holiday season this year. Happy binging!
